GETTING STARTED

At Sculpt, we want to help you be your best, whether it’s your first time doing Pilates or if you’ve been practicing for years.

Here are some tips to help you get started with Sculpt!

HOW TO BEGIN

We want to make starting Pilates easy! Sculpt offers two types of Pilates training: private sessions and group classes.

PRIVATE TRAINING

A little one-on-one attention goes a long way.

Private sessions are an effective way to learn, practice and perfect your Pilates performance. Our instructors create a customized program to help you achieve your goal for the session. Each session begins with a warm-up series and progresses into the fundamental Pilates principles. Private sessions are perfect if you are new, want to become familiar with the equipment and practice, or looking for a new challenge.

GROUP CLASSES

Group Pilates classes have a maximum of 5 clients per session.  The advantage to group classes is that they cost less than private sessions, however they are intended for clients who have previously been introduced to and worked on Pilates equipment. Practicing on the equipment will help increase results and refine your form.

PERSONAL TRAINING

STRENGTH TRAINING CLASSES

Weight based strength training classes have clients use a variety of props including dumbbells, weight benches, resistance bands, BOSU balls and the Bodhi suspension system (similar to a TRX system). While these classes have their roots in classic weight training, instructors also watch form carefully and target all areas of the body.

Consistent exercise will improve your focus, boost your mood and prevent serious health conditions. You may not see the immediate results, but it will improve your health over time.

When you take care of yourself, you can be a better partner, parent, sibling and friend. We spend a lot of time giving of ourselves to others, which is great, but it’s essential to take care of ourselves as well.

2) DECREASE STRESS

Operating with high levels of stress can take a serious toll on our health. Studies show that working out is the quickest way to clear cortisol, the stress hormone, from your system and increase endorphins. 

4) IMPROVE YOUR CONFIDENCE

​

Treat exercise as a way to build on who you are and appreciate all that your body can do. It will become an empowering entity that you never want to give up on. Focus on how confident you feel after finishing a killer class.
